The owner of Alani Taylor, Timeekah Murphy, who is an Army combat veteran and the owner of Deviant La Vie, Brittany Duet, who is best known for her appearances on “Wild N Out.” They both have strong brands on their own right, but little do people know is that they are best friends and their brands are more intertwined than you know. Deviant La Vie is a mix of shibari and lingerie which is all made by hand. You’ve seen Deviant La Vie on Blac Chyna, Porscha Coleman, Natalie Nunn, Haley Kalil, Tiffany Haddish, Cardi B and even for Beyonce in the new Lion King music video. Alani Taylor started designing clothes because she couldn’t find anything stylish to wear while still in the Army. She moved to Los Angeles and within a few months quickly became one of the top premier designers with her unique gender neutral clothing. Deviant La Vie and Alani Taylor for the last two years in a row have dazzled crowds during LAFW Society Fashion Week shows but this year they decided to put on their own show.
